Newsletter Autumn 2007 We have had an interesting year what with rain, cancellations and Foot & Mouth AGAIN!! We only had one foal this year a very pretty filly foal out of DINSDALE ANNA KARENINA the grey welsh section B mare out of DOWNLAND TITANIA who is by ROTHERWOOD SPYCATCHER. This little filly is by BRADMORE CLAUDIUS and was such a picture when first born and still is for that matter, we named her DINSDALE TRULY SCRUMPTIOUS. Hayley has had a very successful year riding STANLEY GRANGE GOLDEN IMAGE our 21 year old broodmare that we have brought back into work. She qualified for the Regional Finals of the Veteran Horse Society Veteran of the year. She narrowly missed winning in the In Hand section and was a creditable 5th in the Ridden Final. We have recently brought one of her stock home from being on loan DINSDALE NIGHTINGALE and there is great debate now as to whether we allow someone else the joy of having her and taking her forward as she is such a super star, or whether we keep her for Hayley to ride even though she is only 11 years old. We are also in the process of breaking another of Image's fillies by DINSDALE FIVESTAR, she is proving to be really easy and a joy to work with, I think she will be sold as a 14 hands Show Hunter Pony or a Working Hunter as all FIVESTAR's stock jump extremely well. We have also had out a yearling colt that is full brother to DINSDALE GYPKIN who is now in foal to Wentward Humming Bird. We are hoping to keep him entire as he is a true 12.2 show pony and is by BRADMORE CLAUDIUS out of BRADMORE PIPKIN. His movement is very extravagant and he is a superb looker, so we hope he will go onto many better things, unfortunately with a number of the shows being cancelled this year he was not out as much as we would have liked. |
